‘Prophet Jonny’ is an artist project I employ which allows me to express myself musically and creatively to the utmost of my ability in live performance.
This project encompasses both my own songwriting and composition as well the ‘piano man’ dinner jazz act wherein one may enjoy an evening of timeless classics from the Chet Baker and Edith Piaf collection.
Jazz has been my staple, RnB and Folk my homestead, and Classical my solace. Music’s manifestly plural and hybrid expression in genre is a beautiful thing to witness; a practice which I incorporate greatly in my sets.
Singing and playing the piano, I experience a beautiful sense of ‘flow-state’, and it is a great joy for me to continue the tradition of piano-man style performance in both residencies and one-off performances with this act.

Piano Lesson Enquiries
I am a friendly and patient teacher based in Central Oxford. An aspect of my teaching which I greatly encourage is that the pupil takes an active role in choosing their own repertoire. Because… What do you want to achieve from your lesson if not to play your repertoire of choice?
Adults and beginners are welcome (as well as more advanced musicians). With regards to pedagogy, whether we focus on a jazz, gospel, classical, or popular etc. school of thought is entirely up to you.
Alternatively, if you would rather learn musical fundamentals in a fashion structured for you, I can certainly do so.
